BILLIE E. (FRAHM) WALTON

Hartford City, Indiana

Billie E. (Frahm) Walton, 90, died Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester.

Mrs. Walton was born March 5, 1920 in Auglaize County, Ohio to Herbert A. and Helen C. (Brecount) Frahm. She graduated from Hartford City High School in 1937 and received degrees from Moody Bible Institute, Chicago and Hartnell College, Salinas, Kansas. She worked with Wycliffe Bible Translators in Peru, South America from 1952-1962. Billie also worked as a legal secretary.

Billie married Miles P. Walton in Los Angeles, California on June 13, 1966. His death occurred February 20, 1990. In 1998 she moved to North Manchester.

Her memberships include Salinas Valley Community Church, Lydians Missionary Group, and Legal Secretary’s Association all of Salinas, California.

Survivors include a step-son, Douglas Walton and a step-daughter, Barbara (Christopher) Nelson, both of California and one sister, Joyce (William) Musselman, North Manchester.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers, Herbert, Bruce, Robert and Richard Frahm and two sisters, Jean Frahm and Janet Simmons.

Graveside services will be held at the Hartford City Cemetery at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 1 with Pastor Sue Babovec officiating.

Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St. Hartford City is handling arrangements.

Richie L. Nuckols

HARTFORD CITY, IN

Richie L. Nuckols, 63, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, May 15, 2010 at his residence.

The son of Everett and Ruth (Hatch) Nuckols, he was born March 21, 1947 in Portland. He graduated from Dunkirk High School in 1965 and then served in the Army.

Richie worked at 3-M and retired from Borg Warner after over 30 years of employment, and was the former owner of the Scotch Mist Restaurant. He was a member of Blackford Lodge #106 F&AM, Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis, Shrine Club, Elks Lodge #625, Amvets Post #23 and was a life member of the American Legion Post #159.

Surviving are: 3 sons, Richie Ty (Chriss) Nuckols, Matthew Nuckols and Marcus Nuckols; a daughter, Cynthia (Jayson)Lytle; 3 sisters, Karen McDaniels, Judy (Lee) Dobbels and Lenora Faine; 8 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Regina (Batten) Nuckols and his parents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 19 in the Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St., Hartford City. Burial will follow in Twin Hills Cemetery, Pennville.

Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 18 and one hour prior to services on Wednesday. Masonic services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be sent to the Shriners Hospitals for Children with envelopes available at the funeral home.

V. June Storer

HARTFORD CITY, IN

V. June Storer, 82, went to be with her Lord on Friday, May 14, 2010 at her residence.

The daughter of Dale and Lora “Sis” (Bergdoll) Burnworth, she was born November 22, 1927 in Blackford County. She graduated from Hartford City High School in 1946 and married Robert Junior Storer on March 29, 1947. His death occurred on October 2, 2003.

A domestic engineer (homemaker), June was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and involved in many church activities. She was a member of several Euchre clubs and the Senior Citizens Group.

Surviving are: one son, Greg (Soneta) Storer, Hartford City; one daughter, Kim (David) Wilson, Marion; one brother, Donald (Lila) Burnworth, Hartford City; five grandchildren, Michael and Travis (Amy) Storer, Kim Cansler and David and
Anne Wilson; five great-grandchildren, Trey, Tylar and Bentley Storer, Chase Cansler and Cameron Watt.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 17 in Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St., Hartford City with Pastor Phil Abrams and Pastor Dustin Jones officiating. Burial will be made in Gardens of Memory, Muncie.

Friends may call from 1-4 p.m. Sunday and 9-10 a.m. Monday at Waters Funeral Home.
