JULIE L. PRYOR

HARTFORD CITY, INDIANA

Julie L. Pryor, 49, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, September 23, 2011 at her residence.

She was born March 31, 1962 in Hartford City to Donald D. and Barbara A. (Snyder) Blakley and attended Hartford City schools. She married Jack Pryor on April 6, 1980.

A homemaker, Julie had worked at BRC in Montpelier, and Clark Oil in Hartford City. She was a member of the Full Gospel Lighthouse Tabernacle, Dunkirk.

Survivors include her husband, Jack; three daughters, Christina (Vincent) Schulz, Manchester, Ohio, Terri (David) Fox, Markleville and Carrie (Carl, Jr.) Turner, Hartford City; a brother, Robert (Heidi) Blakley; three sisters, Edie (Jeff) Hall, Sharon Smith, and Lisa (Mark) Hall, all of Hartford City; and two grandchildren, Vincent “Trey” Schulz III and Shelby Turner.

She was preceded in death by her father on Sept. 3, 1994 and her mother, March 31, 1997.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 28 at Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St., Hartford City with Rev. Bobby Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Hartford City Cemetery.

Friends may call from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 27 and from noon – 2:00 p.m. Wednesday.

RONNIE RAY SHINKLE

Muncie, Indiana

Ronnie Ray Shinkle, 60, died Friday, September 23, 2011 at the V. A. Northern Indiana Health Care System, Fort Wayne.

He was born May 8, 1951 in Anderson, Indiana to Earl A. and Crystal Maybelle (Whetzel) Shinkle. He was a 1970 graduate for Wapahani High School and Manatee Community College. Ronnie was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, serving from 1971-1973.

A retired railroader, he had also worked in the florist industry for 20 years.

He was a member of the American Legion in Bridge City, Texas, and the Disabled American Veterans.

Survivors include: a son, Jeff (Michele) Harry, Parker City, a daughter, Stacie (friend, Jason) Shinkle, Bradenton, Florida; a sister, Debbie (Larry) McDonald, Bradenton, Florida; two brothers, Alvin (Leann) Shinkle, Moab, Utah and James Kenneth Shinkle, Muncie; step-brother, David (Debbie) McUne, Anderson, step-sisters, Janice (Jerry) Osborne, Saltello, Tennessee, Cecelia (Donnie) Hardin, Germantown, Kentucky and Betty Ehrhart (best friend) and Cat Cain, both of Hartford City; five grandchildren, Aydin and Andrew Shinkle, Audri, Clayton and Stefan Harry; and one great-grandson, Jackson Starr; and three special friends, Mike Brotherton, Danny Mauer and Scott Kramer.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a step-brother, Marvin McUne.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 27 in Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St., Hartford City. Burial will follow in the Marion National Cemetery.

Friends may call from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

BRANTLEY MICHAEL WEAVER

GASTON, INDIANA

Brantley Michael Weaver, 41, rural Gaston, slipped away peacefully to the arms of his Lord Sunday, September 4, 2011.

He was born in Hartford City on March 6, 1970 to Michael Jon and Betty (Norton) Weaver. A life resident of this area, he was a 1989 graduate of Blackford High School.

A truck driver, he had owned & operated his own business.

Surviving are: his parents, Betty (Joe) Logan, Hartford City and Michael (Connie) Weaver, Brandon, Mississippi; his companion, Debbie Hicks; children, twin daughters, Nicole and Rachelle Weaver, both of Hartford City, David Hicks (companion, Christa), Bluffton, and Ashley Hicks (companion, Nate Pierce), Clearwater, Florida; a sister, Cheryl (Tim) Coffey, New Castle; two grandchildren, Karmen Pierce and Cierah Hicks; uncles, Robert Norton, Mike (Judy) Norton, Rick (Pam) Weaver, Randy Weaver, Mark (Beth) Weaver; aunts, Barb (Junior) Mills, Rosylea (Jerry) Hummer, Rosella (Ted) Bales, Joette (Curt) Flanagan, and two nieces, one nephew and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Rosylean and Arthur Norton, John and Alta Weaver, and Marie Logan-Marcum, also two aunts, Alice Norton and Rosemary Seekell and two uncles, James and Joseph Norton.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 8 in Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St. Burial will follow in Hartford City Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Thursday.
