RAYMOND C. (ELMO) ELWOOD


Hartford City, Indiana
Raymond C. (Elmo) Elwood, 76, passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Bridgewater Centre.
A lifelong resident of Blackford County, he was born on November 16, 1936, the son of the late Dean R. (Bud) and Lavelle (Lambert) Elwood.  
Raymond was a U. S. Navy veteran serving from 1954-1962. Ray retired from 3M Company after 40 years of employment.
Surviving are children:  Jeff (Becky) Darnell, Susan (Michael) Jones, Clayton D. (Lisa) Elwood, all of Hartford City, Randy R. Elwood, Pennville, Michael A. Elwood, Hartford City, Michelle E. (Jordon) Hope, Georgetown, KY, and Jerry A. Elwood, Hartford City; four granddaughters, Jamie (Matthew) Kantz, Jessica A. Dobbs, Hartford City, Jordon (Jeremy) Crank, Lexington, KY, and Sarah M. Hope, Georgetown, KY; three great-grandchildren, Abigail, Marley Rae and Liam; three sisters, Della Hornbaker, Mae Ann Naylor, and Patricia Stanley.
Raymond was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce A. (Darnell) Elwood in 1998, a son Terry J. Elwood, a brother, Rollin Dean Elwood, and two sisters, Barbara Hornbaker and Velma Nassif.
A private family service will be held with burial made in Union Cemetery, Eaton with graveside military rites by Delaware County Veterans Organization. The family has entrusted arrangements with Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St., Hartford City.

TIMOTHY A. MILLER


KOKOMO, INDIANA

Timothy A. Miller, 49, passed away January 31, 2013 at his residence in Kokomo.
He was born July 26, 1963 in Hartford City to Phillip and Sandra (James) Miller. Tim graduated from Blackford High School in 1980 and attended Ball State University.
Tim worked for Wendall Gibson Trucking Company delivering mail for the U. S. Postal Service.
He is survived by his son, Brennan Miller, a daughter, Candace Alva, his mother, Sandra Miller, Hartford City, two sisters, Julayne Moser, Lafayette and Terri Hensley, Tennessee, and two grandchildren, Koby and Lodus.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am Wednesday, February 6 in the Wesleyan Church, 1301 South Walnut St., Hartford City with Pastor Tom Parsons officiating. Burial will follow in the Dunkirk IOOF Cemetery.
Friends may call at the church from 2-4 and 6-8 Tuesday and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
