TERRY HARFORD


HARTFORD CITY, IN
Terry Harford, 84, passed away Friday, September 6, 2013 at her residence.

She was born March 8, 1929 in Washington County, Tennessee to Arie D. and Betty Mae (Morefield) Lockhart. Terry married Roger Harford on April 2, 1960 in Allentown, Michigan. She had resided many years in New Mexico.
Terry was employed as a bookkeeper with Marriott Hotels, New Mexico.

Terry was a member of American Clan Lockhart Society, St. Andrew Scottish Society, NM, Entertainers Vaudeville, Belen, NM, Legion 49 Auxiliary, Albuquerque, NM, past member of Tierra del Sol Country Club and the Firehouse Players.
She is survived by: two sons, S. Scott (Ginger) Harford, Hartford City, and Richard C. (Karen) Harford, Jemez Springs, NM; one sister, Alma Cagle, Ashville, NC; ten grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at the First Assembly of God Church, 1206 St. Monroe St., Hartford City with Pastor Chuck Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Hartford City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church.

ANTHONY WESOLOWSKI, JR.


HARTFORD CITY, IN

Anthony “Tony” Wesolowski, Jr., 81, passed away September 4, 2013 in Rawlins House, Pendleton.
He was born April 22, 1932 in La Porte to Anthony and Rose (Tanski) Wesolowski, Sr. Tony graduated from Mill Creek High School in 1950, attended Wabash College, and received his bachelors and masters degrees from Ball State University. On October 29, 1955, he married Genevieve Piotrowicz in Fish Lake, Indiana. They have resided in the Eaton-Hartford City area since 1977.

Tony served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He taught at several northwestern Indiana high schools and later served as the Director of Vocational Education in Delaware, Jay, Blackford and Randolph Counties at the Muncie Area Career Center, retiring in 1994.
Surviving are: his wife, Genevieve (Genny); his children, Rose Marie (Anthony) Slack, Woodward, Iowa, Teresa (Kent) Hoover, Anderson, Doug (Barbara) Wesolowski, Springport, Karen (Jeff) Gill, Fountaintown, Patricia (Rick) Elwell, Bluffton; daughter-in-law, Barbara Wesolowski, Columbus; brother, Robert (Carol) Wesolowski, Florida; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Richard and Bert Wesolowski, three sisters, Dorothy Wood, Frances Zilski, and Josephine Wesolowski; also a son, Joseph, and granddaughter, Michelle Wesolowski on August 11, 2013.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Dave Newton at 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 9 in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 209 S. Spring St., Hartford City. Burial will follow in Hartford City Cemetery with military graveside rites.

Visitation will be from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. Sunday, September 8 in Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St., Hartford City and Monday from 9:00 – 9:30 a.m.
A Christian Wake Service will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday.

Memorials may be made in the form of masses.

PEGGY J. MECKSTROTH


HARTFORD CITY, IN

Peggy J. Wickersham Meckstroth, 76, passed away Saturday, August 31, 2013 at her residence.

She was born in Hartford City on October 23, 1936, the daughter of Richard Wickersham and Julia (Beneditto) Wickersham-Cox.
Peggy had worked at Jay Garment as a steam press operator. Before moving to Hartford City ten years ago, she had lived in Portland for thirty years moving there from Dunkirk.

Peggy enjoyed gardening and flowers.
Survivors include her children, Marlene Ward, Debra Logan, James Cordell, of  Portland, Jeffrey Cordell (Torie), David Cordell, and Samantha Bruggeman (Timothy), fifteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Sharon Evans.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 7 in Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St. with Rev. Lloyd Hall officiating.
Visitation for the family and friends will be from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
