MARK A. HALL SR.


HARTFORD CITY, IN
Mark Anthony Hall Sr., 48, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, December 20, 2013 at his home.
Mark was born on July 25, 1965, in Hartford City to William Ralph and Norma Oretha (King) Hall and attended school here. He married Lisa Blakley on July 5, 1986 in Hartford City. Mark was the family teaser and practical joker and enjoyed keeping the family on their toes by “keeping ‘em stirred.”
He is survived by his wife Lisa; children, Mark A. Hall Jr. (Brandi Mills) of Hartford City, Wendy (Richard) Barkdull of Hartford City and Helen (Wayne) Ripberger of Muncie; five grandchildren, Shanna & Kloe, Barbara, Makayla & Dakota.  Four brothers; Mike (Zondra) Hall, Rocky (Lori) Hall, Jeff (Edie) Hall, and Tim (Dreama) Hall; and two sisters, Darlene Bowman and Debbie Overla.
Preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Gary Hall and Larry Hall, a sister Brenda Hall and two brothers-in-law, Larry Bowman and Jim Overla.
Funeral service is at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 28, 2013 in Waters Funeral Home 501 W. Washington St., with Rev. Bobby Thomas presiding. Cremation will follow the service.
Visitation will be on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 o’clock.

PAULINE D. BATES


HARTFORD CITY
Pauline Deloris (Kirkpatrick) Bates, 90, passed away Saturday, December 21, 2013 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie.

She was born June 15, 1923 in Delaware County, the daughter of Viola Kirkpatrick and graduated from Hartford City High School in 1942.
Pauline married Lewis E. Bates on October 7, 1967.  He preceded her in death on December 16, 1987.

She was employed at 3-M in machine assembly.
Surviving are: several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, including a special granddaughter, Lisa (Jack) McDonald; two step-sons, Bill (Janet) Bates, Palm Desert, California and Jack (Sue) Bates, Hartford City; special friend, Tim Norris and his family, as well as Jerry Elwood; several nephews and nieces and several great-nephews and great-nieces.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a step-daughter, Esther Wright, and two brothers, Robert and Edwin Marshall.
Funeral services will be Friday, December 27 at 4:00 p.m. in Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St., Hartford City, with Rev. Raymond Lake presiding. Burial will follow in Hartford City Cemetery.

GLORIA JEAN MOORE


HARTFORD CITY
Gloria Jean (Jaynes) Moore, 77, passed away Friday, December 13, 2013 at her home.
Gloria was born in Indianapolis on January 20, 1936 to Ferdinand Francis Jaynes, Sr. and Juanita (Hazelrigg) Jaynes. She married James M. Moore, Jr. on April 21, 1952 in Indianapolis and moved to Hartford City in 1968.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed scrapbooking, cross stitching and her flower garden.
Gloria attended Calvary Christian the Lighthouse Church.
Survivors include: a son, Jimmy (Rhonda) Moore, two daughters, Terry (Jim) Roberts and Tracy (Jay) Godfrey, all of Hartford City; seven grandchildren, Christy (Dennis) Bailey, James Matthew Roberts, Jamie (Carli) Moore, James Ryan Moore, Rachel Moore, Andy (Crystal) Godfrey and Cory James Godfrey; five great-grandchildren, Dillon James Bailey, Jaylon Bailey, Jordyn Bailey, Taylor Godfrey, and Kamdyn Godfrey; three sisters, Mary Norris, Corydon, Sandy Denton, Gosport, and Wanda Norris, Louisville, KY.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James, her parents and a brother.
Funeral services will be Monday, December 16, 2013 at 2:00 P.M.  in Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St., Hartford City, with Pastors Troy Kaufman and Chris Neel officiating. Burial will follow in Hartford City Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday, December 15 from 5 – 8 P.M. and one hour prior to services on Monday

JEREMY W. MOON


HARTFORD CITY, IN
Jeremy W. Moon, 34, passed away, Friday, December 6, 2013 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Muncie on May 27, 1979, the son of Jerry K. and Pamela J. (Eller) Moon.  Jeremy attended Muncie schools including Muncie Southside.  He loved football, especially the Indianapolis Colts and loved spending time with his son, his nieces and nephews and family.  He also loved music.
Jeremy is survived by his mother, Pam Coats, of Hartford City, his son, William Brausa-Moon, of Muncie, two brothers, Stephen J. Clifford (Shoshannah), of Hartford City, and Robert Clifford (Candy), of Muncie, two sisters, Melissa Stiffler (Chris), of Hartford City and Beth Smith, of Muncie, maternal grandparents, Stan and Judy Eller, of Des Moines, paternal grandmother, Mary Moon, step-father: Stephen R. Clifford, both of Muncie, nine nephews, six nieces, several aunts, uncles, and cousins, and his beloved dogs, Roxie and Holly.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry K. Moon, his paternal grandfather, Shelly Moon, grandparents, Robert and Joann Cannon, and an uncle, Robert Cannon II, and a nephew.

Graveside rites will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Strong Cemetery in Albany, with Pastor Frank Oakman presiding.
Visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. prior to the graveside service, at Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St., Hartford City.
