Helen R. “Tommie” Huggins


Hartford City
Helen R. “Tommie” Arbogast Huggins, age 86, formerly of Hartford City, Indiana, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2014 at Hillside Country Living in Bryan, Ohio.

Born in Akron, Ohio September 18, 1928, she was the daughter of Joseph and Monah Arbogast. Tommie graduated from Green Bank High School, Green Bank, West Virginia and also graduated from Indiana Business College in Muncie, Indiana. She married Joseph R. Huggins in 1947 in Madison, Indiana. She had been employed at Production Credit Association, the Blackford County, Indiana Auditors office and retired from Crist Incorporated.
Tommie attended the Walnut Corner Church near Portland and was a past Worthy Matron of Purity Chapter #126 of the Eastern Star. She was also a member of the D. A. R.

Since her retirement, she had spent a number of winters at Sunny Breeze Harbor near Arcadia, Florida before moving to Hillside Country Living near Bryan, Ohio.
Survivors include one daughter, Millie (J.B.) Orendorff, Bryan, Ohio; three grandchildren, Jennifer (Andy) Fitzpatrick, Montgomery, Ohio, April (Greg) Brown, Woodhaven, Michigan and Christian Orendorff, Bryan, Ohio; four great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Hilda G. (Billie) Wright and Patricia C. Fortney of Newport, PA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one sister.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2014 in Waters Funeral Home 501 W. Washington St., Hartford City with Pastor Steve Rogers officiating. Entombment will follow in the Gardens of Memory Mausoleum, Muncie.

Friends may call at the funeral home from noon until the service at 1 p.m. on Tuesday.

LORETTA F. HUGHES

Loretta F. Hughes, 76, passed away Sunday, December 07, 2014 in Miller’s Merry Manor, Hartford City.
She was born April 20, 1938 to Virgil and Vesta (Neal) Hughes, Sr. in New Castle.

Loretta retired from Borg-Warner, Muncie, after years of employment. She was a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Loretta was a loving and giving mother and grandmother. She will be sadly missed by her daughters; Jewel (Lennie) Binegar, Hartford City and Cynthia Lytle, Westfield; her sons, Howard (Sung) Faine, Hartford City and Brian (Betty) Lennon, Westfield; a brother, Virgil (Linda) Hughes, Jr., Muncie; sisters, Carolyn Wallace, Indianapolis, Kay McIntire, Florida, and Nancy (Jim) Berry, Holland, Michigan and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Terry and Robert Faine, a brother, Michael Hughes, and two sisters, Violet “Vicky” Guffey and Mary Brown.
The funeral service will be Thursday, December 11, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St., Hartford City with Elder Matthew Lufcy officiating.  Burial will follow at Beech Grove Cemetery, Muncie.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 11 from 11:00 a.m. to the time of the service at 1:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Howard Faine Jr., Kayla Faine, Julian Lytle, Steve Alberts, Andy Baker and Brian Lennon.

Robert Andrew (Andy) Walker, 38, passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2014 in I. U. Health University Hospital, Indianapolis. He is survived by his parents, Robert A. & Delores “Lorry” LaMotte.
Services are 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 8, 2014 at Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St., Hartford City, with Rev. Bobby Thomas presiding. Calling hours will be from 1:00 p.m Monday, until the time of funeral. Burial will follow in Hartford City Cemetery.
