DANA LYNN (ELIKER) CURTIS


MARION, INDIANA
Dana Lynn (Eliker) Curtis, 61, died Tuesday, February 17, 2015 in Marion General Hospital Emergency Room.

She was born on January 12, 1954 in Hartford City to Glendale and Vera (Redding) Eliker, Jr. and attended Hartford City schools.  Dana had attended the Trinity United Methodist Church and belonged to 4-H and Brownies in her younger years.
Several years ago she moved to Marion and lived with her companion, Danny Vredenburg.

Dana is survived by three daughters, Heather, Monica and Jessie, a brother, Dirk Eliker, Seminole, Florida, her companion, Danny Vredenburg and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother, Douglas, and her husband, Bruce Curtis.

No service is planned. Private burial will take place in Hartford City Cemetery.
Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St., Hartford City, is handling arrangements.

MARY JANE SOMERS


HARTFORD CITY
Mary Jane Somers, 85, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2015 in Coventry Meadows, Fort Wayne.

She was born January 16, 1930 in Hartford City to George and Annie Alice (Loriaux) Lambiotte.
Mary Jane graduated from Hartford City High School in 1947 and studied at IPFW for 2 years.

Mary Jane married Donald E. Somers in Hartford City on July 30, 1950.
She had worked as a secretary at Lincoln Life in Fort Wayne. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Hartford City.

Survivors include nine children, Nancy (William) Rodgers, Joey (William) O’Donnell, Julia (Matthew) Rider, Martha (Harper) Peck, Daniel (Heidi) Somers, Leo Somers, John (Susan) Somers, Sarah (Troy) Rayle, and Suzanne Somers; grandchildren, Gregory (Jillian) Barry, Kenneth (Kim) Barry, John Barry, Matthew O’Donnell, Eric Mead, Gail Melchi, Lauren (David) Jarc, Brian Peck, Erin (Jeremy) Shock, Andrew Somers, Elainah Somers, Abigail Somers, Jaron Somers, Emily Somers, Paul Rayle, Aaron Rayle; great-grandchildren, Julia Mead, Kelly Mead, Anthony Mead, Lee Melchi, Kayla Melchi, Lucy Mack Somers, Julian Somers, David Bricker, Gillian Jarc, Phillip Jarc, Steven Shock, Grayson Shock, Gavin Barry, and Bennet Barry; one sister, Martha (Murray) McKay.  
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Donald, and three sisters, Irene Sthrome, Georgette Lambert, and Julia Bennett.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Dave Newton at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 28 in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 209 S. Spring St., Hartford City. Burial will follow in Hartford City Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, February 27 and from 10-10:30 a.m. Saturday at Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St., Hartford City. The Christian Wake Service will be at 6 p.m. Friday.

Memorials may be made in the form of Masses.

RONALD P. RIDGWAY


Hartford City

Ronald P. Ridgway, 62, passed away Thursday, February 5, 2015, in I. U. Health Ball Memorial Hospital.
He was born September 10, 1952 in Hartford City to Charles Junior and Jaqueline Sue (Wright) Ridgway and graduated from Blackford High School in 1971.

He attended Vincennes University and then worked several years at Hartford Concrete.
Ron served many years as a volunteer on the Hartford City Fire Department.

Ron married Jennifer Nuckols in Cumberland Falls, Kentucky on May 26, 1990.
Survivors include his wife, Jennifer; two sons, Eric Ridgway and Bryan (Michelle) Ridgway, both of Hartford City; one daughter, Kristie Ridgway, Madison, Indiana; one step-son, Greg Griffin, Hartford City; five grandchildren, Noah, Grant, Raegan and Ryley Ridgway and Gracie Griffin.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call at Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St., Hartford City on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. Rev. Lloyd Hall will conduct the Memorial Service at 6:00 p.m.  

Memorials may be sent to the Rescue Fund at the Hartford City Fire Department.
