DOUGLAS ERVIN PERRY


Fishers, IN

Douglas Ervin Perry, 67, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at his home in Fishers.

He was born in Hartford City October 3, 1948 to Joseph and Helen (Douglas) Perry and attended Hartford City High School.
Doug served his country in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War.  Later he worked as a process engineer at Cummins Engine, Columbus, retiring in 2010.

He married Teresa Arbuckle in Hartford City on September 8, 1972.

Doug was an avid skydiver and pilot and enjoyed motorcycles and his corvette.
Survivors include his wife, Teresa; four daughters, Bobbie Perry, Yorktown, Jodie Uggen, Montpelier, Tyann (Jason) Jones,  Hartford City, and Nichole Perry, Decatur; one son, Shane Perry, Fishers; one sister, Josephine Patricia (Bill) Starr, Hartford City; one sister-in-law, Lisa Arbuckle, Indianapolis; 24 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and his former wife, Deborah Crump.

He was preceded in death by his parents and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Raymond Arbuckle, Jr. and Phyllis Arbuckle.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, November 2, 2015 in Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St., Hartford City with Rev. Lloyd Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Hartford City Cemetery with military rites by Delaware County Veterans.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 1 from 3-7 p.m. in Waters Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on Monday.

MARI LYNN HOWARD


Hartford City
Mari Lynn Howard, 44, passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2015 in Bridgewater Centre, Hartford City.

She was born in Marion on February 2, 1971 to Everett S. and Janet E. (Wright) Howard. Mari graduated from Blackford High School in 1989, where she excelled in Track & Field and held school records for shot-put and discus, one of which still stands today. She also graduated from Taylor University in 1994, with a Bachelor’s Degree in science. While at Taylor she was on the girls track team and served on the coaching staff after graduation.
Mari had worked in the Athletic Office at Blackford High School and recently was a secretary at Indiana Wesleyan University.  She attended Union Chapel Ministries of Muncie and was an avid supporter and fan of the Green Bay Packers

She is survived by her mother, Janet Howard, Hartford City, her brother, Michael Howard, Upland, a niece, Elizabeth Klara Howard, Marion, a nephew, Michael Downam, Upland and special friends, Connie & David Murray, Daleville.
She was preceded in death by her father, Everett, in 2010 and a sister-in-law, Donna in 1999.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, October 17 in Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St., Hartford City with Rev. Lloyd Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, Eaton.
Visitation will be in Waters Funeral Home from 3-7 p.m. Friday, October 16 and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.

ELEANOR M. WUNDERLIN


Fort Wayne
Eleanor M. Wunderlin, 90, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2015 in Fort Wayne.

She was born in Steuben County, Indiana, January 26, 1925 the daughter of Andrew B. and Mary E. (Takacs) Feyesh and graduated from Scotts Center High School, Steuben County in 1943. On October 23, 1970 she married Frank L. Wunderlin in Fort Wayne.
Eleanor had been employed at General Telephone as an operator/supervisor retiring in 1976.

Survivors include a sister, Nancy Kasee, Toledo, Ohio, a sister-in-law, Eleanor Feyesh, Toledo, Ohio, and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Frank who died May 31, 2003. Two brothers, Andy and Robert Feyesh, a step-daughter Jan Baker, a sister-in-law Lenela Feyesh and a brother-in-law, Patrick Kasee, also are deceased.

Graveside services will be at 1:15 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, 2015 at the Hartford City Cemetery with Father David J. Newton presiding.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 15, 2015 at Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St., Hartford City, Indiana.

WILDA J. MOORE


Hartford City     
Wilda J. Moore, 94, passed away Saturday, October 3, 2015 in Dunkirk.

She was born February 1, 1921 in Hartford City to John and Stella (Flowers) Kravis. Wilda was first married to Edward Cain, Jr. and after his death she married Harry Miles, Jr. After the death of Mr. Miles, she married Nathan Moore, Jr. and he survives.
Wilda had worked at Lennon’s Meat Market and Fisher Meats. As a homemaker she enjoyed crocheting and was well-known as an exceptional baker with her pies as a favorite at the Fire Station.

Survivors include one son, Jack (Becky) Cain, Montpelier, three daughters, Sondra (Stanley) Sandoe, Kokomo, Marilynn (John) Price, Hartford City and Cynthia (Greg) Whitenack, Portland; two step-daughters, Nancy (Dennis) DeWitt, Sarasota, FL and Susan (Dave) Deskins, Fishers; grandchildren, Brian (Brenda) Cain, Lori (Bret) Townsend, Beth (Charles) Watkins, Brad Sandoe, Lisa Williams, Dave (Allyson) Price, Mike (fiancee’, Suzanne) Price, Andy (Sarah) Price, Julie (Chad) Dodd, Jill (Greg) Fisher and Trent Whitenack; 19 great grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren and 5 step-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, a brother, Willie Kravis, 4 sisters, Lottie Wunderlin, Mary Jones, Onda Dardine and Helen Cline.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 7 in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 209 S. Spring St., Hartford City with Father Sean Pogue, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Hartford City Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Tuesday, October 6 and on Wednesday, October 7 from 12:30- 1:30 p.m. at Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St. Hartford City.

The Christian Wake Service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, Heart Association or Masses to the church.

JACK L. FRY, JR.


Hartford City, Indiana
Jack L. Fry, Jr., 60, passed away Friday morning, October 2, 2015 in IU Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie, after an extended illness.

He was born in San Diego, CA, on January 12, 1955, the son of Jack L. and Donna (Nuckols) Fry, Sr., and had lived in this area most of his life.  Jack was a graduate of Blackford High School, 1973 and had attended Ivy Tech.
Jack worked for several factories during his life and had also worked in the construction industry.

Jack attended Calvary Christian the Lighthouse Church of Hartford City and loved fishing, NASCAR and football, but especially loved spending time with his family.  He had also been a member of Sons of the American Legion #159 of Hartford City.
His loving family he leaves behind, include his mother Donna of Millgrove, three daughters; Christina (Christopher) Wingo, Laura Fry and Kellie (Ronald Wright) Fry, all of Hartford City; a son, James Fry; two sisters; Jeannie (Richard) Cain of Hartford City and JoAnn (Joe) Long of Cambridge, MN. Seven grandchildren:  Arianna South, Anjalee Wingo, Adonna Wingo, Adarius Wingo, Brenden Price, Chloe Rains and Khalil Wright, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, who passed away in June of this year.
Services will be held at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, October 8, 2015 in the Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St., Hartford City with Pastor Troy Kaufman presiding.  Cremation will take place following services.

Visitation for friends and family will be on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and also from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

LESLIE ANN DURHAM


Hartford City, IN
Leslie Ann Durham, 61, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, October 1, 2015 at her home.  She was born August 13 , 1954 to Clyde A. Durham and Anna Jean Moore Durham. She was a 1972 graduate of Blackford County High School and graduated from Indiana State University in 1976 where she majored in English.

After living several years in Chicago working in hospital administration, she returned to Hartford City to care for her mother.  She was an active member of St. John’s Church where she taught Sunday school and was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society.  She became an active member of the community, working in support of local political campaigns.  She also served on the Greenway Board and mentored elementary school children in her free time. 
After caring for her mother she devoted her time to the care for others in the community.  She was like a family member for those she cared for, especially for Clara Willmann.  In her personal time she was an avid reader and advocated for the public library. 

Leslie is survived by siblings David C Durham (Linda) of Tampa, FL; Dennis C Durham (Holly) of Ft. Wayne, IN; Brian D Durham of Hartford City, IN; Susan L Skrlin (Boz) of Bolingbrook, IL; and Mary Jo Meyers (Jeffrey) of Wheeling, IL.  Beloved Aunt to Jeremy Meyers (Jeni), Danielle Anderson (Tom), Autumn Gee, Drew Durham, Matt Durham, Michael Rymarz, Daniel Skrlin (Kim), Treyton Gee, Ethan Gee, and Steve Platt (Elaine).  Beloved Mother to pet, Borri.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Clyde A. Durham and Anna Jean Moore Durham and her special friends, Randall Glancy and John Suite.

Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Sunday, October 4 in Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St., Hartford City.
The Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday, October 5 in St. John’s Catholic Church, 209 S. Spring St., Hartford City with Father Sean Pogue as Celebrant.

Memorials may be made to the church in the form of Masses.
