Pauline Deloris (Kirkpatrick) Bates, 90, passed away
Saturday, December 21, 2013 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie.
She was born June 15, 1923 in Delaware County, the daughter
of Viola Kirkpatrick and graduated from Hartford City High School in 1942.
Pauline married Lewis E. Bates on October 7, 1967. He preceded her in death on December 16,
1987.
She was employed at 3-M in machine assembly.
Surviving are: several grandchildren and great-grandchildren,
including a special granddaughter, Lisa (Jack) McDonald; two step-sons, Bill
(Janet) Bates, Palm Desert, California and Jack (Sue) Bates, Hartford City;
special friend, Tim Norris and his family, as well as Jerry Elwood; several
nephews and nieces and several great-nephews and great-nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a
step-daughter, Esther Wright, and two brothers, Robert and Edwin Marshall.
Funeral services will be Friday, December 27 at 4:00 p.m. in
Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St., Hartford City, with Rev. Raymond
Lake presiding. Burial will follow in Hartford City Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
