Clara L. Meacham, 90, passed away February 23, 2015 in Port
Richey, Florida. She formerly resided in Hartford City and retired to Florida
in 1987.
She was born August 31, 1924 in Jonesboro, Ohio to Edward E.
and Clara (Rhoades) Ashmore and attended Hartford City schools.
Clara was married to Dean Meacham, who passed away March 9,
1977.
She was co-owner and driver for Dean’s Cab Company, Hartford
City. She had also worked at Dacra Glass in the late 1970’s and several years
at Overhead Door Manufacturing.
Survivors include two daughters, Glenna Starr, Port Richey,
FL and Sandra Starr, Hawthorne, FL; one son, Ronnie (Judy) Norris, Auburn, IN;
two sisters, June Reeb and Julia Fannon, both of Ohio; three grandchildren,
five great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
No service is planned. Burial will be in Hartford City
Cemetery at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2015.
