Hartford City
Edna M. Phillips, 82, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2015, in
IU Health Blackford Hospital.
She was born in Indianapolis on June 17, 1932 to Alfred and
Rachel (Powell) Boling and attended Arsenal Technical High School.
Edna married Lonnie L. Phillips in Kentucky on October 21,
1950. His death occurred on March 9, 1977.
Edna moved to Hartford City from Jay County in 1980.
She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene and had
attended the Calvary Christian Lighthouse Church, both in Hartford City. Edna
worked at the Senior Citizens Center retiring in 2000.
Edna is survived by a brother, George (Emily) Boling,
Indianapolis and special friends, Rod and Chris Hawes.
She was preceded in death by her husband, six sisters and five
brothers.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2015
in Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St., Hartford City with Pastor Troy
Kaufman officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Montpelier.
Friends may call from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
