Douglas Ervin Perry, 67, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at his home in Fishers.
He was born in Hartford City October 3, 1948 to Joseph and
Helen (Douglas) Perry and attended Hartford City High School.
Doug served his country in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam
War. Later he worked as a process
engineer at Cummins Engine, Columbus, retiring in 2010.He married Teresa Arbuckle in Hartford City on September 8, 1972.
Doug was an avid skydiver and pilot and enjoyed motorcycles
and his corvette.
Survivors include his wife, Teresa; four daughters, Bobbie
Perry, Yorktown, Jodie Uggen, Montpelier, Tyann (Jason) Jones, Hartford City, and Nichole Perry, Decatur; one
son, Shane Perry, Fishers; one sister, Josephine Patricia (Bill) Starr,
Hartford City; one sister-in-law, Lisa Arbuckle, Indianapolis; 24
grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and his former wife, Deborah Crump.
He was preceded in death by his parents and mother-in-law
and father-in-law, Raymond Arbuckle, Jr. and Phyllis Arbuckle.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, November 2, 2015 in
Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St., Hartford City with Rev. Lloyd Hall officiating. Burial will follow
in Hartford City Cemetery with military rites by Delaware County Veterans.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 1 from 3-7 p.m. in
Waters Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on Monday.
