Kenneth E. Kravis, 88, passed away Wednesday,
January 20, 2016 in University Nursing Home, Upland.
Kenny was born in Blackford County on May 16, 1927
to William Walter and Esther Lucile (Ely) Kravis. He graduated from Roll High
School in 1945 and enlisted in the Army following graduation. He served as a
Medical Aidman aboard the Army Hospital Ship Huddleston making several trips
across the Atlantic.
His marriage to Marjorie Ellen Bennett took place on
June 3, 1950 in Hartford City.
Kenny lived in Blackford County his entire life. He
worked at Delco Remy in Kokomo until his retirement. He then enjoyed hanging
out with the coffee crew in the early mornings.
Kenny was a life member of the Amvets and was an
avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by a brother, Robert (wife, Joanne)
Kravis, Lady Lake, Florida, a sister, Dorothy Kravis Neff, Wabash, Indiana, two
grandsons, Cody Lee (wife, Christine) Kravis and Roland Earl Kravis, both of
Hartford City, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife,
and his son, Ronald.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, January
23, 2016 in Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St., Hartford City with Rev.
Lloyd Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Hartford City Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday, January 22 from 6 – 8
p.m. and after 10 a.m. Saturday in Waters Funeral Home.
