HARTFORD CITY, IN
Peggy J. Wickersham Meckstroth, 76, passed away Saturday, August 31, 2013 at her residence.
She was born in Hartford City on October 23, 1936, the
daughter of Richard Wickersham and Julia (Beneditto) Wickersham-Cox.
Peggy had worked at Jay Garment as a steam press operator.
Before moving to Hartford City ten years ago, she had lived in Portland for
thirty years moving there from Dunkirk.
Peggy enjoyed gardening and flowers.
Survivors include her children, Marlene Ward, Debra Logan,
James Cordell, of Portland, Jeffrey
Cordell (Torie), David Cordell, and Samantha Bruggeman (Timothy), fifteen
grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister,
Sharon Evans.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday,
September 7 in Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St. with Rev. Lloyd Hall
officiating.Visitation for the family and friends will be from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
