JANET SUE LANNOY

HARTFORD CITY, IN

Janet “Jan” Sue Lannoy, 67, passed away Thursday, June 24, 2010 in Ball Memorial Hospital.

The daughter of Harry and Dona (Miller) Hensley, she was born August 5, 1942 in Trafalgar, Indiana. Jan graduated from Trafalgar High School in 1960. After her parents passed away, she lived with her brother John and his wife, Roberta in Jonesboro. Jan attended Ball Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, graduating in 1963, and worked as a registered nurse at Blackford County Hospital for 35 years, retiring in 1998.

Jan married Joseph R. Lannoy in Hartford City on August 17, 1963. His death occurred on March 23, 2004.

She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, the Altar & Rosary Society and BPW.

Survivors include a son, Joseph Michael Lannoy (companion, April Day), Hartford City, grandchildren, Jonathon Michael Norton, Robert Rene Lannoy and Kendall Day, a sister-in-law, Roberta Hensley, North Carolina and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, Dianne Lannoy, and two brothers, John and James Hensley.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Dave Newton at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 29 in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 209 S. Spring St., Hartford City. Burial will follow in Hartford City Cemetery.

Friends may call at Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St., Hartford City from 4-7 p.m. Monday, June 28 and Tuesday from 9-9:30 a.m. The Christian Wake service will be at 4 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the church in the form of masses.
