IMOGENE CAPPER

Hartford City, IN

Imogene Capper, 84, passed away June 28, 2011 at I. U. Health Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie.

She was born May 7, 1927 in Byrdstown, Tennessee, the daughter of Ephriam and Juda (Pryor) Walker. Imogene married James Capper on December 8, 1946 in Lafayette, Indiana. His death occurred March 20, 1994.

A homemaker, she was a member of the Amvets Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary and Borg Warner Sympathy Club.

Surviving are: two daughters, Diane Abel, Montpelier and Lois (George) Hall, Hartford City; three sons, Terry (Teresa) Capper, James Capper, both of Hartford City and Greg Capper, Liberty Center; 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Steve, 6 brothers and 5 sisters.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 2 in Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St., Hartford City with Rev. Bobby Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory, Muncie.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday and after 10:00 a.m. Saturday.
