Aletha A. Welsh, 100, passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2013
in Miller’s Merry Manor.
Aletha was born January 30, 1913 in Geneva, Indiana, the
daughter of William and Goldie Long. She grew up in Geneva and graduated from
Hartford City High School. She married Walter Welsh and he preceded her in
death on March 18, 1963.
She was a former member of the Hartford City Lady Elks and
the Women of the Moose.
Survivors include a son, Walter “Pat” (Sheri) Welsh, Hartford
City, a daughter, Sue Garrison, Hartford City, five grandchildren, Jeff
(Rachel) Garrison, Jay (Joanna) Garrison, Julie (Dennis) DuBois, Michael Welsh
and Robin Welsh, and ten great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, Robert Welsh, a brother, Bill Long and a sister, Virginia Winder.
The Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 11 in
Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St., Hartford City with Pastor Henry
Favorite officiating. Burial will follow in Hartford City Cemetery.
