Nancy L. Gould, 81, passed away Wednesday, October
16, 2013, in IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.
She was born November 13, 1931 in Hartford City, the
daughter of Martin (Mike) and Marguerite (Bostine) Carell. A life resident of
Hartford City, she graduated from Hartford City High School in 1950. Nancy was
first married to Harold Gilland. She later married Bruce Gould on August 7,
1965. His death occurred on February 28, 2004.
Nancy worked at Blackford County Hospital as a
nursing assistant, retiring January 15, 1996.
She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic
Church.
Survivors include her son, Michael (Janet) Gilland,
Hartford City; two grandchildren, Jason (Erika)
Short and Stacey (Steve) Lambert; six great-grandchildren, Griffin Short,
Olivia Short, Jessica (Jaycee) Heeter, Grant Lambert, Molly Lambert and
Isabella Short; and a niece, Barbara Houseman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands,
two brothers, Frank and Larry Carell, and four sisters, Ermine Wilkins,
Francine Bates, Elsie Shultz, and Thelma Carell.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m.
Friday, October 18 in Gardens of Memory with Father Dave Newton officiating.
There will be no calling hours.
Memorials may be made in the form of masses or to
the donor’s favorite charity.
