N. JEAN JEFFRIES


HARTFORD CITY, INDIANA
N. Jean Jeffries, 87, died unexpectedly Wednesday morning, October 17, 2012 at Crown Pointe.

She was born February 3, 1925 in Delaware County, the daughter of Clarence and Docia (Thompson) Marker, Sr. and was a 1943 graduate of Selma High School.

Jean was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church and was a member of the Card Club, Muncie.
A homemaker, she had worked as a secretary at Overhead Door Corp. for several years and later was the bookkeeper for Leo’s Menswear.

Surviving are: one son, David (Janel) Jeffries, Indianapolis; one brother, Clarence “Bill” (Judy) Marker, Jr., Florida; two grandchildren, Matthew (Jenna) Jeffries and Megan (Chad) Pryce; three great-grandchildren, Kameron and Kaleigh Butts and Leo Jeffries; two step-great-grandchildren, Caleb and Aaron Pryce.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 63 years, Leo Jeffries and a son, Randy Jeffries.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, October 20 at Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St., Hartford City with Pastor Dustin Jones officiating.  Burial will follow at Hartford City Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
