FORREST E. DUNCAN


HARTFORD CITY, INDIANA

Forrest E. Duncan, 90, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, July 04, 2012.

He was born July 7, 1921 in Akron, Ohio, to Forrest E. and Lillian Duncan, Sr. He graduated from Sharon Center High School in 1939 and received his B.S. and M.A. degrees from Ohio State University in 1949 and 1950.

Mr. Duncan married Faylee Seeger September 14, 1947 in Hamilton, Ohio and they moved to Hartford City in 1954 from Ashland, Ohio.

Forrest was a U. S. Army veteran of WW II serving in the Signal Corps.

Mr. Duncan had served as president of Eastern Indiana Production Credit Association, retiring in 1983 after 30 years of employment. Later he was associated with Citizens Realty, Hartford City.

Forrest was a member and elder of First Presbyterian Church, Elks Lodge #625 and American Legion Post #368, Van Buren.

Surviving are his wife, Faylee; a daughter-in-law, Candace Duncan, Columbus, OH; 2 grandsons, Andrew and Nathaniel (Amber) Duncan, and a great-granddaughter, Kennedy Paige Duncan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sons, Lawrence and Craig, and a sister, Bette Clough.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 9 in First Presbyterian Church, corner of High and Franklin Streets, Hartford City with Pastor David Smith officiating. A reception will be held in Fellowship Hall immediately following the service. Burial will be made at Gardens of Memory, Muncie with military rites conducted by Delaware County Veterans Organization.

Friends may call at Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St., Hartford City, from 2-5 p.m. Sunday and after 10 a.m. Monday at the church. Elks Lodge of Sorrow will be at
4:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
