Lloyd D. Miller, 95, of Hartford City passed away at 3:52am Saturday, July 7th, 2012 with his family at his side.
He was born in Lebanon, MO on June 21st, 1917 as the son of Lorenzo Dow and Stella Degraffenreid Miller.  He moved to Indiana where he eventually met June A. Willman.  They were married in a double-ringed ceremony on August 1st, 1948.
Lloyd came to Indiana in 1936 and lived at the Bullskin farm northeast of Hartford City.  He was drafted in 1941, became a corporal in the US Army, and served most of the time as a mail carrier in WWII in the Philippines (Southwest Pacific Theater) .  He was discharged in 1945 to Amarillo, TX and then returned to the Hartford City area.  He started working at Warner Gear and retired in 1980 after 30 years of service.  He had farmed and enjoyed working with animals.  He was involved in the Blackford County 4H for many years.  Also, he was a member of the Zion Lutheran church.
Surviving are his wife, June; one daughter, Judith A. Reynolds (husband Rocchi) of Yorktown, IN and their children: Jason Reynolds (wife Lynna) and Kristy Bodie (husband Steve); three sons, Jerry L. Miller (wife Cathy) of Muncie, IN and their children: Stacey Jackson (husband Andy), Lindsey Masterson (husband George), Tracey Kay Miller, David Masterson (girlfriend Cassey); Robert L. Miller (wife Connie) of Harford City, IN and their children: Ryan Miller, Amy Beyer, Todd Miller (wife Christina); Frederick L. Miller (wife Ann) of Harford City, IN and their children: Andrew Miller (girlfriend Malea), Matthew Miller, and Alex Miller.  There are 13 great-grandchildren: Keegan and Kaiden Reynolds, Gavin Bodie, Emma and Lillian Jackson, Owen Masterson, Forrest, Ashley, and Brock Beyer, Autumn, Ethan, Isaiah, and Carson Miller.
He was preceded in death by five sisters: Gladys Radcliff, Bernice Crow, Fern Holman, Nadine Davis, and Effie Pauline Blakeley; one brother: Floyd L. Miller
Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:30 am Wednesday, July 11, 2012 in Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St., Hartford City with Pastor David Fleener presiding.  Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory with Military Rites by the Dunkirk American Legion.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 10, from 4:00-8:00 pm and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the funeral home.
