JACOB L. “JAKE” FREEMAN


  HARTFORD CITY, INDIANA
Jacob L. “Jake” Freeman, 49, passed away Saturday, July 21, 2012 at his residence, from complications of lung cancer.
Jake was born in Marion on February 20, 1963 to Everett and Mary (Crone) Harley, was a life resident of the Grant County area and had been employed by Tru-Form Steel & Wire, BRC, as well as the former Pierce Governor of Upland.
He married Brenda Kay (Ervin)Holtzleiter in Marion, on his 34th birthday.  She preceded him in death, July 3, 2011.
Jake enjoyed gardening, his flowers and had a love of fishing.
He is survived by two sons; Jacob Hess and Tylor Freeman, a daughter, Tabitha Hess;  two brothers, Rick (Brenda) Freeman and Neil (Angie) Freeman; one sister, Amy (Chad)Armstrong;  five grandchildren, Levi Hess, Ryan Hess, Heaven Hess, Rebecca Hess and Kayleigh Hess, and his girlfriend & caregiver Robin Johnson, as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by a sister, Carmen.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Saturday, July 28th, 2012 in the Waters Funeral Home, 501 W. Washington St., Hartford City, with Rev. David J. Newton presiding.  Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory, Muncie.  
Visitation will be Friday from 6 – 8 p.m. and Saturday an hour prior to the service at the funeral  home.
